Lawrence Schiller to appear at the Palm Springs Modernism Fall Show Oct. 25 – 27, 2024
Lawrence Schiller, whose iconic photographs from the 1960s captured the famous and infamous, will exhibit his work for the first time at the Palm Springs Modernism Fall Show. The show will be held at the Palm Springs Convention Center, October 25–27, 2024.
Signed, limited-edition photographs on display include Schiller’s final poolside photoshoot with Marilyn Monroe, just a month before her death; Paul Newman and Robert Redford playing ping pong on the set of “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”; and stunning portraits of James Earl Jones and Barbra Streisand in the studio; as well as Tippi Hedren and Alfred Hitchcock speeding down the 101 Freeway. According to The Times Magazine, London, “Lawrence Schiller’s images of the icons of Sixties America conjure a time and a place of incomparable cool.”
Mr. Schiller has three scheduled appearances during the show, including signings of his classic book, “Marilyn & Me” (TASCHEN, 2012/2021), and his new catalog, “Lawrence Schiller Photographs” (WS Press, November 5, 2024), which will be available to the public for the first time during the show.
All appearances will take place during the Palm Springs Modernism Fall Show. Tickets are required for entry.
